  • 9 Gala or Honeycrisp apples
  • 1/2 cup butter (divided)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (divided)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup oats

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Wash and dry the apples, then slice off the tops and scoop out the cores.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix in chopped apple pieces from the cores.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, oats, remaining brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Add cold butter pieces and create a crumbly texture.
  4. Fill each hollowed apple with the apple mixture and top with crumble. Place in a baking dish and bake for about 15 minutes or until tender.
