  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 cup soft baking caramels (melted)
  • 1 medium green apple (chopped or thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup chopped gluten-free pretzels or nuts (pecans, walnuts, or almonds)
  • 1/4 cup melted chocolate for drizzle

Instructions

  1. Soak apple pieces in water with lemon juice for 5-10 minutes to prevent browning.
  2. Melt chocolate and coconut oil together using a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
  3. Line a 9X13 baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the melted chocolate evenly about 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Sprinkle crushed pretzels over the chocolate layer, then add diced apples on top followed by drizzles of melted caramel and additional chocolate.
  5. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours until set (or freeze for the last 20 minutes).
