  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk (whole or 2%)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 strips turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder. Cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in cheddar cheese and gradually add buttermilk until just combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, onion powder, and additional cheddar cheese until blended.
  4. Spread biscuit dough in a greased baking dish and pour egg mixture on top. Sprinkle with turkey bacon.
  5. Bake for about 35 minutes or until golden brown and set.
