  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine yellow cake mix, egg, melted butter, pumpkin puree, and vanilla extract; mix well.
  3. In another bowl, blend cream cheese, eggs, vanilla extract, pumpkin puree, melted butter, and spices until smooth.
  4. Pour half of the cake batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan. Layer the cream cheese filling on top and finish with the remaining cake batter.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until set in the center. Allow to cool before frosting.
  6. For frosting, beat cream cheese with unsalted butter and brown sugar until creamy; gradually add powdered sugar and stir in vanilla extract.
