  • 12 oz lo mein noodles (or spaghetti)
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Szechuan peppercorns, ground
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons garlic chili oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Green onions, for garnish
  • Toasted sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a wok over medium heat, add vegetable oil. Once hot, sauté minced garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  3. Stir in ground Szechuan peppercorns, soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, and garlic chili oil; mix well.
  4. Add the drained noodles to the wok and toss to coat with the sauce. Drizzle sesame oil over the top while tossing.
  5. Serve garnished with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
