  • 1/4 cup Light or Dark Brown Sugar (for topping)
  • 1 tbsp All-Purpose Flour (for topping)
  • 1/4 cup Light Corn Syrup
  • 1 Large Egg (slightly whisked, for topping)
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter (for topping)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract (for topping)
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Pecans
  • 1 tbsp Sea Salt Flakes (sprinkled on before baking)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare an 8-inch square baking pan.
  2. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, espresso powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. In another bowl, beat together butter, vegetable oil, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
